What is the Plan all About?

SUD Life Aarogyam Plan is a non linked, non participatory health plan which offers financial guaranteed amount on the occurrence of any of the listed 40 Critical Illnesses during the policy period with additional benefits. In the vent of no claim the Co. will return the paid premiums back to the policy owner. A comprehensive plan which fights back with all odds due to diagnosis of a critical illness.

Policy Benefits

    Lump Sum Benefit

    • Protects the insured against 40 Critical Illnesses and the plan pays guaranteed amount which is the sum assured opted under the policy on diagnosis of any of the listed 40 critical illnesses. The policy terminates thereafter.
    • This plan provides 25% additional cover for Angioplasty during the policy term.

    Maturity Benefit

    The premiums paid during the policy term are returned at maturity in case of no claim as maturity proceeds.

    Death Benefit

    There is no death benefit payable under this plan.

    Let us understand the plan with the example of Mr. Arjun:

    Life Insured: Mr. Arjun

    Age: 35 years

    Term: 10 years

    Sum Insured: Rs 10 lacs

    Annual Premium: Rs 15,940 for 10 years

Value Added Benefits

    • Avail tax benefits u/s 80D as per IT Act, 1961 for premium paid for this plan.
    • Lower Premium rates for female lives.
    • Lower premium rates for opting high sum assured.
    • Provides flexibility to use benefit amount to balance the loss of income and/ or meet other financial & health liabilities.

Sub Limits

    • 25% additional cover for Angioplasty is subject to a maximum of Rs 10 Lacs.

Waiting Period Clause

    • Initial Waiting Period: A waiting period of 90 days from the inception date for all claims to be admissible, under this policy.
    • Survival Period Waiting Period: There is a minimum survival period of 30 days post each claim.
    • Pre Existing Waiting Period: 48 months waiting period applicable with respect to Pre Existing Diseases.

  • Civil war, rebellion, revolution, civil unrest or riot.
  • Participation in any armed force.
  • Self-inflicted act.
  • Drug-taking other than under the direction of a qualified medical practitioner.
  • Diagnosis of Critical Illness by Medical Practitioner reveals excessive consumption of alcohol.
  • HIV/AIDS.
  • Nuclear fusion, nuclear fission, nuclear waste or any radioactive or ionizing radiation.
  • Criminal act with criminal intent, etc.
