National Insurance Two Wheeler Insurance provides a comprehensive cover for your two-wheeler. This motor policy covers third-party legal liability along with loss or damage caused to your insured vehicle. This plan also provides personal accident cover for the owner cum driver.

Additional Covers

Following are the additional cover/add-ons that can be opted upon payment of additional premium.

• Loss of Accessories Cover: This add-on covers loss of electrical/non-electrical accessories, as stated in the policy schedule.
• Additional Legal Liability: Legal liability to a paid driver employed for the operation of the vehicle is covered.
• Personal Accident Cover: Personal accident cover to the occupants is available up to an amount, as stated in the policy schedule.
• This policy also provides cover for bi-fuel kits and fiberglass fuel tanks.

Major Exclusions

Following are the conditions that are not covered under this policy:

• The vehicle is used outside the geographical area
• The vehicle being used otherwise than in accordance with the ‘Limitations as to Use’
• Any claim arising out of contractual liability
• Loss /Damage outside India
• Mechanical breakdown
• Consequential loss
• Depreciation, wear and tear
• Intoxicated driving, etc.

Own Damage Cover

Loss or damage to the vehicle insured and/or its accessories is covered against perils such as fire explosion, self-ignition or lightning, burglary, housebreaking or theft, riot and strike, earthquake, flood, typhoon & hurricane, accidental external means, malicious act, terrorist activity, in transit by road, rail, inland waterway, lift, elevator or air, landslide or rockslide. This cover is available upon opting ‘Package Cover’.

Cover towards Third Party Liability

Insured is covered against third-party liability arising out of the use of the vehicle in respect of death or bodily injury to occupants carried in a vehicle other than the insured’s vehicle. It also covers damage to property other than the property belonging to the insured.

Third-party liability cover towards property damage is available up to Rs 7.5 Lakh.

Personal Accident Cover for Owner – Driver

In case of bodily injury/death caused to the owner cum driver of the vehicle, the compensation is payable depending on the nature of the injury sustained.

No Claim Bonus

In case of a claim-free policy year, No Claim Bonus (NCB) is payable up to 50% and it is offered on policy renewal. It is expressed as a percentage of discount on the ‘Own Damage’ premium and is applicable upon opting for ‘Package Cover’.
