HDFC Life Easy Health plan is a fixed benefit plan which offers coverage against Daily Hospital Cash Benefit, Surgical Benefit and Critical Illness Benefit. With the combination of these 3 major benefits, the plan offers 7 plan variants:

What are the Plan Benefits?

Policy Benefits

    Lump sum Benefit

    100% of the Sum Insured shall be payable in case diagnosed with any one of 18 Critical Illnesses specified.

    Daily Hospital Cash Benefit

    This benefit payable shall be for a maximum of 20 days (for Non ICU room) and 10 days (for ICU room) per year. Benefit payable shall be for a maximum of 60 days (for Non ICU room) and 30 days (for ICU room) during the policy term. Multiple claims up to 100% of the Sum Insured shall be allowed under Daily Hospital Cash Benefit and Surgical Benefit.

    Surgical Benefit

    Lump sum payout up to 100% of the Sum Insured against 138 surgeries, based on the severity of the surgery.

    Death Benefit

    There is no death benefit payable under this plan.

    Maturity Benefit

    There is no maturity benefit payable under this plan.

Value Added Benefits

    Avail tax benefits u/s 80D as per IT Act, 1961 for premium paid for this plan.
    Quick Claim Settlement.

Sub Limits

    1% and 2% of Sum Insured is payable per day in case of Hospitalization on admission into Non ICU room and ICU Room respectively.

Waiting Period Clause

    Initial Waiting Period: Company will not pay any Daily Hospital Cash Benefit or Surgical Benefit within 60 days from date of commencement or reinstatement of cover whichever occurs later, except where such expenses are incurred for treatment of a condition caused by an Accident.

    Specific Waiting Period: In case of hospitalization or treatment of any of the following injury, sickness, diseases or surgical procedure and any complications arising out of them during a period of 1 or 2 years from the date of commencement of cover, the Daily Hospital Cash Benefit or Surgical Benefit will not be payable.

    Pre Existing Diseases Waiting Period: For all pre-existing diseases or health conditions, the benefits would be available after 48 months from date of commencement or reinstatement.

Exclusions

  • Treatment for congenital disease or deformity, including physical defects present from birth will not be covered by the policy.
  • Hospitalization and/or surgery is/are not in accordance with the diagnosis and treatment of the condition for which the hospital confinement or surgery was required.
  • Any condition with respect to the covered benefits, for which the insured had signs or symptoms, and/or was diagnosed, and/or received medical advice/treatment within the waiting period.
  • Elective surgery or treatment which is not medically necessary.
  • Weight reduction or weight improvement regardless of whether the same is caused (directly or indirectly) by a medical condition; 6. Study and treatment of sleep apnoea.
  • Routine eye tests, any dental treatment or surgery of cosmetic nature, extraction of impacted tooth/teeth, orthodontics or orthognathic surgery, or tempero-mandibular joint disorder except as necessitated by an accidental injury and warranting hospitalization.
  • Outpatient treatment.
