What is the Plan all About?

Energy Health Insurance Plan helps you fight against diabetes and hypertension. Individuals with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Pre-Diabetes (Impaired Glucose Tolerance/Impaired Fasting Glucose), and Hypertension. This health plan covers hospitalization expenses arising from diabetes/hypertension plus wellness program & health rewards.

Policy Benefits

In-patient hospitalization expenses such as room rent, nursing, ICU charges, Medical Practitioner’s charges, etc are covered.
Pre hospitalization expenses incurred towards consultations, investigations and medicines are covered for 30 days prior hospitalization.
Post hospitalization expenses incurred are covered for 60 days post discharge from hospital.
144 day care procedures for which the insured gets hospitalized for less than 24 hours are covered.
Organ donor expenses towards harvesting the organ are covered.

Value Added Benefits

Sum Insured is enhanced at the time of policy renewal, in case no claim has been lodged/paid under the policy.
Expenses incurred towards emergency ambulance are covered.
Two complete wellness tests are covered in a policy year. For gold plan, there is a cashless facility to undergo these wellness tests at a network center. Incentive points would be rewarded for both Silver & Gold Plan.
Gain access to wellness support such as a personalized wellness web portal, health coach, monthly newsletters, centralized helpline to resolve queries.
Discount on renewal premium for maintaining good health. A part of renewal premium is also reimbursed towards medical expenses.
100% cost of pre-policy medical check-up is reimbursed on acceptance of the proposal.
Get ‘Stay Healthy’ package for health assessment, diet & exercise plan, health newsletter and helpline services.
Avail tax benefits u/s 80D as per IT Act, 1961 for premium paid for this plan.

Sub Limits

20%co-pay applies for both Gold and Silver Plan. It’s on an optional basis.
Emergency ambulance charges are covered up to Rs 2000 per hospitalization.
For Gold plan, when wellness tests are done at a non network (approved) center, a sum of up to Rs 2000 is reimbursed at the end of the policy year.
5% to 25% discount on renewal premium for management of health conditions, depends on the points earned.
Reimbursement of 5% to 25% of renewal premium for medical expenses incurred, depending the points earned.

Waiting Period Clause

Initial Waiting Period: There is no initial waiting period, as this policy provides coverage for all hospitalization arising from Diabetes and Hypertension.
Specific Waiting Period: Specific illnesses such as Sinusitis, Tonsillitis, Cysts, etc. are covered after 24 months of the commencement date of the policy.
Pre existing Disease Waiting Period: Any pre-existing ailment/injury is covered after a waiting period of 36 months. Any condition/ailment related to Diabetes/Hypertension is not a part of this waiting period.
