What are the Plan Benefits?

Policy Benefits

    • In the event of diagnosis or procedures for any of the 12 specified critical illnesses (Cancer, Kidney failure, Primary pulmonary arterial hypertension, Liver failure,Multiple sclerosis with persisting symptoms, Major organ/bone marrow transplant, Open chest CABG (coronary artery bypass graft),Aorta graft surgery,Stroke, First heart attack, Coma of specified severity,Total blindness) the Criti Care policy will pay a lump sum benefit subject o waiting period and survival period mentioned in the contract.
    • Under a single sum insured, cover yourself and your Family (family means Self, Spouse, up to 2 dependent children until 25 years and your 2 dependent parents).

Value Added Benefits

    • No Pre medical screening up to the age of 45 years and sum insured up to 5 lakhs, subject to the proposal form having no adverse medical declarations.
    • The premium paid is exempt under section 80 D of the Income Tax Act.
    • Partial Payment for medical tests reimbursed by the company.
    • Plan offers Family Floater discounts on premium.

Sub Limits

    • Medical Tests reimbursement is capped subject to the maximum of 50% of the actual expenses.

Waiting Period Clause

    • Initial Waiting Period: A waiting period of 90 days from the inception date for all claims to be admissible, under this policy.
    • Survival Period Waiting Period: To avail policy benefits the insured person has tosurvive 28 days after the date of a confirmed diagnosis of the listed critical illnesses.

  • Any medical procedure or treatment, which is not medically necessary or not performed by a Doctor Any treatment relating to birth defects and external or internal congenital Illnesses
  • Birth control procedures and hormone replacement therapy
  • Any treatment/surgery for change of sex or any cosmetic surgery
  • Treatment by a family member and self-medication or any treatment that is NOT scientifically recognized
  • Ayurvedic, Homeopathy, Unani, naturopathy, reflexology, acupuncture, bone-setting, herbalist treatments
  • Attempted suicide (whether sane or insane) or intentionally self inflicted Injury, etc.
